The turkey baster is back in the kitchen drawer, the denuded bones made into soup, and the pumpkin pie just another inch on our waist. That means one thing: Time to check into Black Friday sales. This morning we chatted with Jamestown managing director Michael Phillips, who tells us Friday sales at Alameda South Shore Center were up 11% over last year; Sunday’s were up 12%. (And don't forget Cyber Monday: up 6%.) Among the most popular categories: sporting goods and kids’ apparel. He’s cautiously optimistic. “We think there’s been significant pent-up demand in the consumer sector, and people are coming out to shop.”
